Winning weekend at Sandy Park

It has been a winning weekend in all respects at Sandy Park, with Exeter Chiefs beating Newcastle Falcons to reach the Aviva Premiership for the third year running, as well as Sandy Park picking up an award at the annual Express & Echo Business Awards.

Sandy Park were crowned the Tourism and Hospitality Business of the Year at the awards ceremony on Friday night, which was held at Sandy Park. 

Guests were welcomed to the room with a string quartet, before sitting down to a three-course meal prepared by Sandy Park's catering team, which included a Royal Wedding themed dessert. The evening also featured guest speaker Martin Underwood of the Met Office, who spoke about Exeter's ambition and success. 

Other winners on the evening included Main Chiefs Sponsor, swcomms, who were presented with Apprentice Employer of the Year and Employer of the Year. The overall Outstanding Business of the Year award went to Air Marketing.
