Vets’ event returns to Sandy Park for fourth year in a row

Around 200 vets and veterinary nurses attended a two-day annual CPD event at Sandy Park.
It was the fourth year in a row that VETcpd Congress was held at the venue making full use of the first and second-floor facilities at Sandy Park, including a two-course hot fork buffet on both days. Some of the delegates used the on-site hotel too.
The Exeter Suite was used to host 24 exhibitors and spaces to relax in between expert-led clinical and management workshops held in the County, Chiefs, Estuary and Baxter suites, plus Sandy Park’s corporate boxes.
CPD sessions were split between veterinary and nurses covering a range of topics including pain perception, small mammal anaesthesia, obesity, dermatology and much more. Clinical workshops included updates on wound management, ophthalmology, and dentistry.
Chris Ritchie, managing director of Teamwork Professionals and event director of VETcpd Congress, said: “Sandy Park is an excellent conference venue, with an attentive, no-fuss, extra-mile team, top-notch catering and a mix of easily configurable room sizes to suit our needs.
"The Exeter Suite acts as an ideal hub for trade exhibitions and more. The venue is clean and modern, with plenty of washrooms and easy access for people of all ability.
"The on-site Courtyard by Marriott hotel is excellent too. We always look forward to returning."
Mr Ritchie added: We have used Sandy Park for many years and will continue to do so. Thanks to Bev, Henry, Graham and Craig (in no particular order as they are all extremely helpful and competent!) and their teams."
