Exeter Chiefs past and present players will rub shoulders with supporters as they celebrate 20 years of Sandy Park.

Kicking off on Thursday, 24 September, it will be a relaxed evening held in the Powderham Bar giving supporters the chance to catch up with Chiefs legends and current club athletes. Former lock Chris Bentley will lead proceedings to coax out gossip and stories from the past.

In addition to players already announced here, Ben Breeze, Ben White, Bryan Rennie, James Parkes, John Andress, Josh Matavesi, Nic Sestaret, Phil Greenaway, Phil Sluman, Shane Kingsland and Steve Bennett have all been added to the list.

Extra women’s players include Stef Evans and Kayleigh Armstrong, along with a whole host of current squad members.

They have all been invited to celebrate the two decades since the club made the brave move from the city centre to a redeveloped ground close to the M5. It was a turning point for the club as the new stadium prepared the men’s team for life in the Premiership four years later.

The club’s chief operating office Natasha Pavis, who has also been at the club for nearly 20 years, said: “We wanted a casual event where rugby supporters could meet up with the players they watched in the early days, plus some of those that they watch now. It’s not meant to be a formal corporate event but a traditional rugby knees-up, helped along by our resident DJ Bunnynotbonnie. I think it’s going to be a lot of fun.”

Tickets for the Pasty & Pint Night are £40 or £35 for seasonal members.
