Comedy at the Park line-up announced
The Sandy Park events team has revealed the four acts that will line up to draw out a gaggle of laughs from The Surgery crowd.
Being held in the Exeter Suite on Friday, 8 May, The Surgery will welcome Karen Bayley, Don Biswas, Lori Smith and Andy Stedman to Exeter.
Seen on The Last Word, Bayley reached the final of the BBC New Comedy Awards and supported Joe Lycett on his UK tour. Described as having a “delightfully saucy, friendly and confident stage presence”, Bayley’s infectious giggle and devastating one-liners make her a force to be reckoned with.
This “politically charged gag merchant” Don Biswas likes to cover a wide range of subjects, including his Asian upbringing and his neurodiversity. He won the Edinburgh Fringe Award for Autistic Excellence in 2023.
Lori Smith is a new and emerging comedian, who is known for her relatable humor and witty takes on everyday life. She brings a fresh voice to the stage, offering audiences a glimpse into her world with humour that is both sharp and approachable.
Lastly, Andy Stedman is a likeable, cheeky chap who performs guitar-based comedy though his original music or amended cover versions. He is also a dab hand at observational comedy and enjoys interacting with the audience.
Doors open at 19:00 with food served between 19:00 and 20:00. The Surgery will open at 20:00 and close at 22:30.
Tickets are £14 or £22 with food, which will be beef lasagne with salad and garlic and herb bread (pre-ordered vegetarian option available). Tables of 10 are available at £120 and £200 respectively. Follow this link to purchase your tickets.
