College sports students celebrate their success

Sports students from Exeter College gathered at Sandy Park to celebrate their team, individual and academic success stories from the last year.

An annual fixture in the Sports and PE Faculty’s busy calendar, it is the one opportunity students from a range of sports come together for a social occasion.

Eleven awards were presented during the evening’s festivities, which included a buffet and disco held in the Estuary Suite at Sandy Park.

Lucy Harris, associate lecturer and programme leader, said: “Our event was an evening of celebration for the students and staff of the Exeter College Sport and Physical Education faculty. We had an amazing evening of delicious food, music and awards, all hosted by Sandy Park. It was a great opportunity to allow the students to celebrate their successes and have a great time!”

Among the awards handed out were Academy Team, Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year, plus academic recognition for year one and year two A-level and BTEC students.
