The South West heat of British Comedian of the Year is all set to amuse and entertain the Exeter crowd as the competition arrives at Sandy Park on Friday, 4 September.

This huge night of comedy will see some of the UK’s best up-and-coming stand-up stars battle it out against their regional rivals.

Recognised as the biggest comedy competition in the country, British Comedian of the Year showcases the very best circuit acts from across the UK with previous finalists and winners going on to appear on Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week, Comedy Central and major UK tours.

Each act will perform a short set in front of a live audience, all competing for a place in the next round and a chance to win the British Comedian of the Year title and cash prize.

This regional heat will be hosted by Noel Brodie from The Comedy Surgery.

Sandy Park’s senior sales executive Ben Parsons said: “This promises to be a brilliant evening packed with fresh comedy talent. Audience reaction also plays a part in the scoring, so our comedy regulars could help decide who progresses to the final.”

Tickets are £14 per person with the option to upgrade to include beef chili, rice, sour cream and tortillas for just £22. A vegetarian option will also be available (pre-order only). All food must be purchased in advance as none will be available to buy on the night.

A table of 10 can also be purchased for £120 (without food) or for £200 (with food).

Doors open at 7pm. Food will be served until 8pm. The show will start at 8pm and end at 11pm. Entry is for over 18s only.
