New Sandy Park exhibition is a huge success

Organisers of a new exhibition held at award-winning venue Sandy Park last week have spoken of the success of their inaugural event.

Some 200 delegates travelled from across the South of England and Wales – and even further afield – to Exeter for VetsSouth, which is now set to become an annual event in the veterinary calendar.

More than 20 exhibiting companies showcasing a variety of veterinary products and services were set up in Sandy Park’s recently expanded Exeter Suite, with workshops and seminars held in other rooms throughout the venue.

Event organiser Michael Ritchie said: “VetsSouth was started after the success of VetsNorth, which attracts many delegates coming to see renowned speakers and big-name exhibitors. Dechra Veterinary Products also agreed to sponsor VetsSouth after the successes of the northern event.”

“The format of the exhibition and catering worked really well and we are extremely pleased to have delivered VetsSouth 2015 to the region, especially with such positive feedback from delegates and exhibitors following the event.”

“We required a venue that could accommodate an exhibition with large rooms used for lectures as well as a number of rooms for smaller classes, in close proximity to each other. Sandy Park’s facilities matched our requirements perfectly, in addition to being extremely easy to access for delegates from across the UK.”

“We were also looking for a venue with stature; again Sandy Park fitted the bill with its fantastic reputation for conferencing and rugby alike.”

Sandy Park underwent a £10 million redevelopment in 2014, increasing conference space by 80%, adding a further six seminar suites and upgrading audio-visual equipment throughout the venue.

The enlarged venue can now cater for events of over 1500 people, with high quality facilities available for exhibitions, conferences, meeting, gala dinners and more.
