Biggest ever food exhibition returns to Sandy Park
Savona Foodservice held its biggest exhibition to date at Sandy Park yesterday.
Marking their fifth year at the Exeter conferencing and banqueting venue, Savona Foodservice occupied two floors and three large rooms – the Exeter, County and Estuary Suites – to host more than 140 suppliers.
The annual event showcases the very best in food, drink, and non-food items for the catering industry utilising chef demonstrations, live tastings and free samples. More than 350 delegates attended the exhibition before 170 attended a dinner here for 170 key customers and suppliers.
Jenny Squire, from Savona Foodservice, said: “The Sandy Park team made our entire experience stress-free and enjoyable, from planning in the months ahead to set up and execution. This is a key event in our calendar where we seriously showcase our brand and reputation.
"Our annual dinner hosts some of our key customers and suppliers. The Sandy Park events and catering team worked with us to create a bespoke menu relevant to our audience. The food, service and atmosphere was exceptional quality.
"The Sandy Park team understand us and share our ethos and values, making them extremely easy to work with."
Sandy Park has five function rooms, plus a boardroom and seminar suites that overlook the rugby pitch. Ideally situated close to rail links, Exeter Airport and the M5, the venue provides plentiful parking space, electric charging points and cycle racks, plus the convenience of a hotel on site.
Bev Gratton, Sandy Park’s sales and events manager, said: “We have the capacity and the infrastructure in place to comfortably host multi-room, all-day events, but also conferences or exhibitions that span several days. The bigger the better!
“We were so pleased to welcome Savona Foodservice back to Sandy Park and we hope to see them back here next year.”
